Best Sweet and Sticky Honey Garlic Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

for the chicken strips:

  • 2 kilos boneless skinless bird breast or bird tenderloins
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs (or regular bread crumbs)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/four cup all-cause flour , or extra if wanted
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • sparkling cracked black pepper to taste

for the sweet and sticky honey soy sauce:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/four cup soy sauce (or fish sauce reason it tastes better! Fish sauce could be saltier, start with 2-3 tablespoons)
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce or any hot sauce (non-compulsory)
  • 1 tablespoon clean lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Directions


  1. Pre-heat oven to 425° F (220°C). Prepare 1-2 baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  2. If the use of hen breasts, cut into thin strips. The thicker they are, the longer they take to prepare dinner. Make sure the strips are continuously sized so you get even baking.
  3. In a bowl, upload panko or bread crumbs. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In medium bowl combine flour, salt and black pepper.
  4. Dredge each strip of chook in flour, then egg, then Panko or bread crumbs. Lay coated hen strips on sheet pan. Repeat for all chook strips.
  5. Bake chook strips in oven for approximately 20-25 mins, or until chook is cooked thru and crisp. Remember to turn the chook strips approximately half of manner through cooking.
  6. While the hen is baking, make the sauce. In bowl, integrate all the sauce substances: ketchup, honey, soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, fresh lime juice and rice vinegar.
  7. When fowl is finished baking, set apart.
  8. Heat a huge skillet over medium warmness. Add half of the hen strips and half of the sauce. Toss to coat and cook for approximately 30 seconds on each aspect or until the fowl strips soak up the sauce on each aspects and grow to be sticky. Repeat with the rest of sauce and chicken strips. (Cooking Tip: Don't permit the pan get too hot due to the fact if the pan turns into too warm, it dries up the sauce and turns into too sticky.)

Recipe Notes
Note: If you want the bird strips extra crispy, fry the fowl strips rather than baking them after which toss them within the skillet with the sauce. The crunchy fried texture is scrumptious!
